John Cleese on Dennis Miller Live in 1998 (thanks yannickjoker) talking about Greed. Interesting since he was acting in a commercial for Icelandic Bank Kaupthing which are the epitome of greed in Iceland.

This interview is kind of creepy. So was Miller a closet Republican when he gave this interview? If so, then he must be thinking everything John Cleese is saying is bullshit. Or perhaps he does agree with what Cleese is saying, and now he's just a closet liberal trying to take down Fox "News" from the inside... I know that's far fetched, especially if you've seen his comedy in the last 5 years.

Miller wasn't a lib nor a con prior to 9/11. He was moderate and poked fun at both sides. Read his book "The Rants". If after 9/11, Miller came out as a liberal, would he be "sucking Liberal C*ck for his pay Check" or a "demon-crat sellout"?He's best friends with Al Franken and Al doesn't hate him. Yeah. He was so "effected" that he did a 180 and is lapping up everything the current administration feeds him, digests it, and then spews fire with it. He's become a media fanatic in my very humble opinion and that simply isn't good. Fanaticism isn't something anybody needs. I don't understand why you consider his current views "terrific".

The majority of the rich are miserable from trying to hang on to their money. That's all that matters to them. Their money. Most of the "rich" people I have met are afraid that you only want to be their friend so you can get their money. They don't like people to try and make friends with them! How would you like to go thru this lifetime with loads of money and NO friends? It's not that enviable a lifestyle. Balance is the key in life but they don't know how. It's really sad...
