August 18, 2007, Springfield, Illinois State Fair:
Joe's line - "I have a limo, ride in the back; I lock the doors and eat my Big Mac."
For the record, Joe spent the first half of his show making jokes about running for President of Ohio, and the crowd responded awkwardly. People loved it, but clearly understood Joe didn't know where he was. Eve ntually, somebody tipped him off, and he apologized for realizing he was Illinois and not Ohio.

It would have been easy for this song from '78to have been tossed into the 'novelty' bin and forgotten. Thankfully, that didn't happen. With grins and good cheer, we still sing along with Joe about life being good despite not being able to drive the Maserati or being too busy to get to the mansion. lol

Simply awesome watching Joe Walsh performing
live with The Eagles. I didn't even know about
it until I got glued to the flat screen TV's
down at Sears. Amazingly these guys sound nearly as good when they produced their albums. Walsh, as usual, seems comical putting
a a "twist" to his lyrics. This group simply never lost it! Great musicians, great video!
I just made my journeyman status when I first
heard this song. Loved it then, love it still!

so kick my ass chap, this isn't a heavily populated area. it's the freaking internet, you're typing on your computer sitting on your stupid ass getting riled up over an opinion. Walsh rules, henley and frey...uhhh are for moms. sorry.

aight, bro. I get your drift. I guess what i said was a little uncalled for. To be fair, I was replying with a similar rhetoric to your original comment. I just don't understand why you would post a hate comment like that. You have the right to your oppinion, and maybe we should both share ours a little more respectfully.

lol! Actually there were a bunch of us from that "era" who got glued to the flat screen for what seemed hours. I actually chuckled because I thought I was nuts only to realize I wasn't the only one in the main isle
at Sears Maui. Others were in the smaller isles looking at the flat screen, both the young generation and us who came from that era
when this song came out back around the mid 70's. And yes, my friends did make fun of me but I returned the gesture to them too-they were there too!
