This is a clip from the 1986 Transformers Movie.
After having received wind of an Autobot supply ship making a trip to Autobot city on earth, Megatron and group of Decepticons hijack and seize control of the ship. In a suprisingly visceral (for robots) fight scene, all four of the Autobot crew are killed off. The confirmed casualties are (in ord
er) Brawn Prowl Ratchet Ironhide The music in the background is 'Instruments of Destruction' by N.R.G. and can be found on the Movie soundtrack CD; 'Til all are one'

But that's just it Brawn gets hit in the shoulder, but then the wound is on his back when he falls... that never made any sence when I first saw it. And I've also asked the question how Prime get simple chest wounds and dies but Magnus is blown to bits and is revived.....

I always thought that shot went THROUGH him (in through the shoulder and out the back). This is one of my favourite scenes in this movie, sums up Megatron perfectly

The problem is the angle of the shot suggests he got hit in the shoulder and the blast hole when he hits the ground is coming out of the very back of him. Angle-wise Megatron couldn't have made that shot, meaning he is a haxx...

This scene set the tone for the entire movie! I remember I saw parents pull kids out of the theatre right after this scene ended. Back in 86, this was considered totally violent. Especially with a PG rating. People still expected stuff like Carebears and Rainbowbright. Scarred me. Scarred me so bad I made a stop motion cartoon out of it recently. In the original series of Transformers, not 1 Autobot dies.
In the movie, 4 die in the opening 10 mins.
This really messed me up as a kid.

This part stunned me as a kid, and also later inside Unicron when the robots were screaming in the acid pit as they were melted alive, that seemed like a really heartless way to die.

Actually what I always wondered, much as I like the killed off 'bots. Is why Megatron seems to think the Moonbase(s!) around the planet he is occupying aren't a big deal. (Dinobots wielding weapons of mass destruction above Cybertron basically.) But he thinks destroying Autobot City, which seems to have about eight or so Autobots running it. Will 'vanquis them forever'.
