You know I'm laughing my ass off because I know this is the kind of thing(although a little exaggerated for humorous purposes) postal clerks really have to deal with! Yes it's exaggerated but I SWEAR there are folks who will actually SAY "It's okay, it's me" Like this, humor is best when it reflects real life
