Another cool scene was right after this one when he reports for his mission briefing. I like when he's asked about prior covert missions he has a spooky standard denial which the officers and CIA guy were happy to hear. Great movie. My all time favorite.

I love those old Huey gunships. Such a sexy piece of machinery. The sound their rotor blades make as they kind of glide peacefully through the air is just beautiful. No other chopper makes that paticular sound.

This is a very particular scene IMHO. One crazy thing about that is that Sheen was not acting at all. He was REALLY stoned and drunk. The breaking of the mirror was not planned and he really got his hand cut. What you see on his hand and on the sheets was his real blood. And when he cries in the end he was really crying, he was not just acting. This is what Coppola says in the documentary about the making of the movie.
