It's not the pirating part that I don't like (even though it's illegal). Mac OS X is all about the experience of actually owning a Mac, hardware and all. Running OS X on regular old PC hardware isn't the same as having a Mac. Sure Macs now use some PC hardware, certain features of OS X are for Macs and Macs only. If I wanted to use OS X, the best experience would be with a Mac.

I agree with you about the experience part. But I wouldn't fully agree on the speed man. I have a centrino dual core running at 1.83ghz, and 2gb of ram and let me tell you 10.5.2 runs on my computer 5x better than my XP ever did and about 5x better than other mac laptops (The good ones). I was running logic studio while burning a dvd, and listening to music while downloading a torrent. All that my friend, and that's heavy. Not one stall or freeze up. I don't even have the best available parts.

i subscribe to what you said... i have a 2ghz core2duo with 2gb of ram and it's running great... and never had to reinstall it like i had to do with xp before every couple of months... it just works..

Definitely, I have had no error messages, no freezing, no annoyances. XP is still a better system over vista, but it has so many more cons than running OSX. Honestly, The only reason id run windows along with mac now would be because im a developer. But I always had to reinstall windows. Shit, I don't even have a antivirus or nothing on this MAC-PC and i got to torrent sites and stuff. no problems ever! =]

Superior you say? Well you are very wrong on that. Mac is a very, very, very stable OS. You barely have any problems with Macs, and any problems you may have are due to the user's own stupidity. Windows crashes all the time. Windows is superior to mac? Bullshit! Look at vista, I had a vista laptop for one week and without even downloading any touchy software on it, it was already hanging explorer.exe Get your facts straight before you come and say that. I've used both, obviously you haven't.
