no we didn't, many of this players were past their time during this world cup. Sa Pinto? ever since he punch artur jorge in the face his career has been horrible. the team we had in 2002 is nothing compared to the team we had in 2004 or 2002. the only players in this team who were GOOD on a global scale are Rui Costa and figo. Everyone was past their prime and only good in the portuguese league which isn't really that hard of a league to be honest
