I have to disagree with you there when I watched The Last King of Scotland I got chills, liked I seriously freaked out I forgot he was Forrest Whitaker. Leo was great too but I didn't think they were "kneck-and-kneck" as you put it.

I believe that this is one of the best oscar speeches i've heard :) He is a talented actor and he really really just seems to love what he does and that's soo great! He has so much passion! go forest whitaker!! <3 it seems like the other nominees were really happy for him too :)

I think he wanted to say 'Karibuni yiyi yote', 'Karibuni sisi sote' or something to imply let us all celebrate, that is 'mwalikwa yote kusherekea', 'let us all celebrate' but his swahili is not that good and so he said something that was not understandable at the end
