This is a terrible trailer. I've lost all interest in seeing this movie. And Stan didn't create the Silver Surfer. Kirby did.

Jack drew the Silver Surfer, but Stan wrote his dialog and made him interesting! DC Comic's The Black Racer was more in keeping with what Jack had in mind, by his own admission! Read any Black Racer Comic Books lately?

I know that Stan wrote the character, and I love Stan's work was a writer, and he did create a lot of characters for Marvel (including Spider-Man, Daredevil and the Hulk; all ideas brought to life by Stan with help from Kirby), but the Surfer and Galactus are character created 100% by Kirby. Lee may have written the dialouge and done a good job at that, but he did not create the character.

Yes, Stan created the plot for FF#48 and did an amazing plot, BUT Kirby, LONG before this, had been working with characters that he designed to be cosmic and god-like based on The Bible. The whole thing with the Surfer, Galactus and devouring the world and judgement day, was all Kirby's idea, Stan totally came into the idea later on and wrote most of the dialoge and basic plot line, and many people have written and drawn Galactus and the Surfer after that, BUT, these two characters were Kirby's.
