Strange World is a song from the bands debut album Iron Maiden. It was written by Steve Harris. It is the sixth track from the original US & UK album releases; and the seventh track from the remastered 1998 release CD.
"Strange World" tells of a dystopian society, where people never grow old. Amongst other things the narrator (singer) laments how "smiling faces [are] ever so rare".
The song that precedes it will always be Transylvania, the famous instrumental piece, because they both merge, as one song if liste
ned to.

From San Diego (CA) This song is amaizing.
Smiling faces ever so rare.
A lets walk in deepest space,
Living here just isnt the place.
Stalks of light come from the ground, When I cry there isnt a sound. All my feelings cannot be held, Im happy in my new strange world. Shades of green grasses twine, Girls drinking plasma wine. A look at love, a dream unfolds, Living here, youll never grow old. Dont you hear me call? ooh
Living here, is not what it seems
Ship of white, light in the sky,
Nobody there,to reason why..
I'd like to born a twenty years before of my birth and in England not in Italy, fuck!
