This is an excellent performance of zigeunerweisen, the only thing I don't like is that she uses the same vibrato in every passage at all times. There are various moods in this piece and her playing gives this piece a one-sided nature. Given that it is a good one-sided nature, I'd still rather hear more variation. For me, Heifetz and Perlman are the best at this piece, but especially Heifetz.

yeh i dont mean to critisize but personally i think she thought to much about it. not that i or anyone on this site can do any better. and i agree about the vibrato, but thats just her interperatation. personally i think rabins is the best of all time and would have made sarasate cream his pants. but thats just me:)

No one thinks so much about an artistic piece, that is not only silly to say but what a mediocre statement and the vibrato business is equally silly showing lack of knowledge on violin technique. Sorry to be rude but this is perfection and any superficial criticism is mediocrity.

lol get over yourself dude, you're on youtube ffs, have a sense of humour! and yes i do think that much about an artistic piece, just like perlmans caprices would have made paganini cream. and no i did not critisize, hence my first sentence is i dont mean to critisize, just because i dont favour her interperatation, or rather prefer other renditions, doesnt mean i dont respect it. lol knowledge on violin technique. that word is over-used so much you probably dont even know wat it means any more.
