The first time I heard this band, I couldn't understand why it isn't so famous...
The instrumental part is great and so are the vocals.
Though I like the album "Subsurface" better, "Dead Reckoning" is also amazing!

Threshold is one of the most criminally underrated bands in all of metal. Their discography is filled with solid releases which consistently demonstrate their ability to write and record relevant, meaningful music that touches all segments of metal -- from progressive to power. While they have been through many lineup changes, all of the vocalists have been solid, contributing to some impressive music over the years.

How so? I think Threshold is very well known within the prog metal scene, I dare to say that they one of the most famous prog metal bands (perhaps less popular than DT, Pain of Salvation, and Symphony X but those are big names in the scene XD)

Point taken. Within the relatively small, educated world of prog metal, Threshold is indeed well respected. I just think it's a travesty that music as powerful as theirs has failed to translate to a broader audience, and some of the rewards that come along with that success.

I think it's a crime that a great band like this, who can sell out shows in the continent of Europe, are still overlooked by the British public. Great album - great band. More promo on this band from Nuclear Blast, please! Shame on UK broadcasters for not airing this music more.

About time I posted a comment on this remarkable band. They have it all - superb musicianship, technical wizardry which is never used to excess, soaring melodies and intelligent, poetic lyrics. They're a great live act too - such a shame that Andy "Mac" McDermott has left the band; his unique and soulful vocals helped develop Threshold into an act which fully deserves a chapter in the annals of British musical genius.

Threshold is one of the best progressive metal band ever! Too bad they lost Mac after this album! His is one of my favorite vocalist of all time!
