Fighting the flu and the rejuvenated Jazz, Michael Jordan put in one of his greatest games ever. Struggling even to stand at times, Jordan scored 38 points to will his team to a 90-88 win over Utah in game 5 of the 1997 Finals. There's not too much that can be said about what Jordan did in this
game. One can really only watch and marvel at that man's will to succeed.

Amen to that....I really don't think you can overstate how important Marv and Bob Costas were to the popularity of the NBA in 90s. Great teams, great players, but also great commentators... today's guys on ABC and ESPN are absolutely terrible. Mike Breen and Hubie Brown are the only two I can listen to, and ABC split them up for some reason Van Gundy and Mark Jackson are the worst thing to happen to basketball on TV

I think Van Gundy is okay, and can be funny, but Mark Jackson is the worst thing to happen to broadcasting. Bob Costas is the greatest of all time, and Marv and the whole NBC crew throughout the 90's were great.

I think the NBA would be way more popular than it is today if it was still on NBC. The NBA on ABC is absolutely terrible to watch. It used to be tolerable when Mike Breen and Hubie Brown called games together, but now it's awful. I'd much rather just sit around and watch 1990s Bulls games than watch the crap they show now.
