Agree, but there's no need for millions of years of investigation; in a hundred years we've done more than in one thousand years, and we haven't solved THE question (God exists?) though. If it finally gets solved, we won't know it, that's for sure.

Well for right now there isn't any evidence to support that there is a god, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't exist. There is more evidence to support evolution than there is for god. Not to also mention that we have millions of data supporting evolution and non for god, but of course that doesn't mean that god or some divine entity doesn't exist all it means is that there currently is no evidence to support god. So there for god doesn't exist as of right now.

No it doesn`t contradict itself.I will give you an example to explain myslef.Radio waves were discovered theoretical by James Clerk Maxwell in 1865 and experimental by Heinrich Hertz in 1887 , but radio waves exsisted in the Universe before they were discovered.If now we dont` have any proofs, that doesn`t mean that God isn`t there already.So God is a posibilty.You decide if you belive or not in his exisance.For that is religion about , beliving in that posibilty.
