You sound pretty pissed off with creationsm and all that jazz which i can totally understand. Phylogenetic trees are actually hugely unreliable but there isnt much point in going into that. Sorry for apparently making an ass of myself, just thought I'd share my opinion. Just bare in mind that you can't really judge someones intellegence based on their faith. Thats highly naive. There are scientists a-plenty that believe in God, many of whom have reputable credentials.

Please elaborate on why the phylogenetic trees from paleontology, geology, genetics, taxonomy, and biology that all match up without collaboration are unreliable. Which sources can you sight that have shown this claim of yours to be the case? How do these matching lineages manage to be irrelevant in your view? Where did these tedious, detailed, peer-reviewed, fact-based studies and research bodies go wrong? Enlighten me.

Hmmm. Well from my biology days I remember doing some work on measures of clade confidence and molecular clocks used to predict primate speciation dates. Lots of articles by the likes of B.G. Hall, LJ Gibson and A Yoder. Check out Alister McGraths website if you want an intellegent counter-arguement to the whole thing. Although that entirely depends on how open minded you are.

i find it funny that "their interpretation of the world without god" is composed of images of things that are found in the real world.

biology days, eh?
Then you'd be well aware of the genetic markers shared between humans and apes, that is clear and irrefutable proof of common ancestry. basically, virus fails to replicate inside sex cell and all through that creatures line the marker is present in the genome. The odds of humans and apes sharing
2 is astronomical, we share more than 14. never found a creationist who could refute it, do a little research and get back to me...IF YOU CAN

You know what dude, you are on some little mission to prove people wrong so good luck with it. You have not commented on any of the articles I suggested & you havent given any criticism-positive or negative-about them so you're clearly not thinking scientifically. I genuinely don't have time to look it up but I'm sure you're right with the g markers thing (incidentally, we share a huge amount with fungi as well as apes -taxonomists put us all in the Copisthokonts group).

what articles? You havent told me about any articles.
"(incidentally, we share a huge amount with fungi as well as apes -taxonomists put us all in the Copisthokonts group)." - There is a difference between genetic markers and genetic similarities, perhaps you need to brush up on the material from your biology days -) creationism and ID, have no plac

I'm pissed off that in the 21st century there are still those who wish for children to be taught the lessons from before the dark ages. While we're teaching them about creationism maybe we should include the lessons on bleeding the feet to cure illness, or tell them that the Earth is the center of the solar system, and that weather patterns are the result of our evil doings against the almighty creator of existence.

This place is more proof that we are evolving apes. Taking your child to this place is abuse. It's as simple as that. Hitchens is spot on when he said why trying to get ID into schools doesn't work. There may be many parents who believe the book of Genesis to be true but they don't want their children taught that. They don't want to come from a place where they get laughed at. People won't go there too. They will be laughed at when they travel. This place is an abomination.

I think this is great! We need to bring kids back to christianity, I will be so happy when Im seeing the public schools going to this. This is the real science, everything else is satanic!

I thoroughly agree. Faith is not science. Science is not faith. When you confuse the two, huge problems arise. If people want to believe in creation myths, fine. But keep it in the church, and don't confuse it with science. Because there's not a shred of evidence for this ridiculous fantasy they're masquerading as a museum.

i love christians, theyre so ignorant that being someone that has worked in labs and seen things first hand cannot just enjoys watching ignorant americans bring their country down. In that way I respect Muslims because they respect knowledge and don't hamper the views of science and original thought.

You obviously didn't know that a far higher precentage of muslims are creationists that christians and that there is now virtually zero science conducted in the muslim world.
