I don't mind people thinking I'm English, at the end of the day the people who matter most to me know I'm Australian.
It's actually very rare that I hear people calling Native Americans 'Indians', though I don't know how it is in the U.S to be fair.

What truly matters I should think, is that there is likely not a single person alive who thinks that Native Americans are Indian. It's just a misnomer and it's in decline.

history of south America Natives is a bit obscure to me. Although local society was much more developed then that one in North Amarica, local regimes were despotic using even children sacrifices to honour local gods (Aztecs, Incas, Mayas etc.). There is nothing to be admired in my opinion. I do not understand the local religion, which is a bit extraneus to me. Interesting is, that local empires had regular army I think, but several Spanish conquerors were enough to defeat them.

I say as Rampesatratana, what the hell is the American flag doing there? It was that flag and people who carried it that caused the Native Americans all their misery and horrors.
And I must say, that I totally love the Natives sense of morale and ethics, that everything on this Earth shall be treated with respect and love, since everything - just like humans - descends from Mother Earth, and that everything has a spririt. If everybody thought like that we wouldn't have glo bal warming..

I'm mexican and think prehispanic cultures had relevant knowledge that could be admired even today. That is: medical, herbs, agriculture (remember corn origin), hidraulic (Mexico city was in a lake with both sweet and salt water that were kept separated), astronomic (both mayan an aztec calendars were more precise) and much more. But the history is written by the conquerors. You could look for other sources like Leon Portilla. Even if there were warriors or violent or had their beliefs.

I am an african and we have similar love for nature,chants,drumbs,spritual dancing,same ways. When I listen to native american, chinese,east indian music my chest fills with heat and I feel connected. I think we are the true children of mother nature, others seek to destroy it simple because "they" have no connection to nature. Thanks for posting this music thank thank you

O.K. Angelicachula - it is possible. But as I wrote, I do not understand culture of Mayas, Aztecs, Incas, Olmecs, Toltecs etc. as they all sacrificed human (even children) sacrifices to satisfy their Gods. It is something absolutely incomprehensible to me , even when the religious rituals were very cruel as far as I know. Such a culture I cannot admire. Consider this !

To choose e.g. a young ,pure and beautiful maiden to be sacrificed to Gods is a vicious practic. This is what prevents me from admiring of south America cultures. They chose their own people !! Crusades would have never done such a thing.
