There is no apocalypse in 2012! The Mayan calendar is just going to have another long count. I read from historians that the Mayans only used a few cycles at a time. Pole shifts also aren't dangerous! They are slow and take thousands of years to complete. If the world ends in our lifetimes it will be because of what humans have done to the environment or some leader of some country, probably Iran, will kunke another country causing world war 3.
