As big a fan I am, the harmonies really lacked without him hitting the high pitches. I guess it happens to all singers as they age. Great voice otherwise.

I think it was more so because the back-up mics were turned down to low in this live mix. I'm pretty sure Freddie was hitting the 5ths and Brian and Roger took the octaves in the recording, but the mix here makes it all sound funky. Kinda hard to explain unless you're into singing.

I agree with you but I feel it's pathetic that you said "he made about 10x more money if not more than you ever will" when you just as easily could have said "he made about a million times the MUSIC than you ever will"

Actually Freddie could still hit the high notes. When performing live though, he typically chose to perform his songs an octave lower. That way he cold perform more of them without wearing himself out. He never performed his songs live the same way he recorded them.
