This movie is an almost perfect comedy--hardly anything wasted, no lulls, etc. Cleavon Little and the rest of the cast are stellar, but gene Wilder is his own, uncanny comic-timing STAR! the writing is also soooo good! the jokes! mel Brook's best thing ever!
