You miss the point. If jimi had lived they would have got together for sure, and man the world would have seen the greatest session ever. Stevie is the only one to have done jimi justice and then some. Anyone with knowledge about these guys knows they were on another level.

I don't understand folks like you. Are you new to the world of SRV? It seems like you are because your statements are pretty ignorant. SRV has, whenever asked about Jimi and his influence on SRV, never said that he was better than Jimi or that he was trying to take what Jimi was doing into his own. He respected Jimi in the most highest regard; he told an interviewer that he was so affected by his music that he saw Jimi as a brother.
I'm not bashing Jimi, I'm just telling you to fuck off.

SRV put a texas blues style to Jimi's songs.. which i think sound amazing. its pretty amazing to have an inspiration that is inspired by one of my other inspirations. they are the reasons why i play guitar... i sure hope people give the credit that SRV deserves.

I wasn't saying that zakk wylde is any better than srv. They are different styles and should not be compared, BUT i think SRV is a more expanded player as were zakk wylde does the same licks and stuff over and over. So he gets old. But i was commenting on how aggressive he is. He hits the strings harder than most guitarists.
