Real Time: Religion in Politics
Real Time's Real Reporters segment with Dan Savage on the Huckabee campaign in South Carolina, and the panel of D.L. Hughley, John Fund, Trace Adkins weighing in after the fact. I thought the discussion on the selective use of what is in the Bible and people reading or hearing what they want to hear and ignoring what they don't like and don't want to hear was very interesting and how wedge issues are used in politics. It's a shame that religious wedge issues have been used to divide those of us who should otherwise have common economic interests in favor of corporate interests.

Throughout the ages, man created gods for every conceivable reason he couldn`t understand.
The fear of death and an afterlife is one the greatest fears man tries to cope with.
The present god which evolved from all the previous man-created gods, enables man to cope with this fear.
Heaven for believers, hell for non-believers.
