I love this scene. Thanks for posting. This is my favorite scene in that suprisingly good movie "Rocky Balboa". It's development scenes like this that made me really feel what Stallone was trying to portray when he wrote this movie, and it works. I miss Adrian as much as Rock does during this scene.

its a very touching scene and memento,how ever i dont think its good how rocky is so obbsesed with the past-stranger is his speech he gives to his son when considering this-how life hits so hard and how you have to keep going.-when it seems rocky hasent moved foward from his wifes death at all this seems a bit hypocritical-but besides that is a very good movie

I don't agree. I think Rock's life was completely devastated by his loss, and the speech he gave to his son was motivational coming from the perspective of someone who knows what someone else shouldn't do, kind of like saying "Do as I say, not as I do." Not every story is supposed to be a happy one...the greatest stories ever written usually tend to be tragedies.

oh and another thing, the guy was moving forward with his life wasn't he? He was trying to help his son. He was helping the people around him. But it's unfair of you to judge someone just like Paulie is. The man is entitled to his hurt. For many people, our hurt becomes a part of our lives. It doesn't mean we haven't grown past it, but like Rock says about the specialness of that time in his life, "it was to me". It was the best time of his life, and judge that is to deny a person their life.

ok but in my opinion,and i have experienced loss-its healthyiest to put the past in the past,and forget about it,have ur mourning time and then over.u cant say how rock mopes about remembering his wife is healthy,cause its not trust me-it just feeds it self.granted in a movie like this,it really touches the viewer-BUT in reality this behaviouur is never good,life is for making memories not for remebering them.-i love the rocky films but its as fictional as superman in EVERY RESPECT.

Healthy is a point of view. Most people exhibit some type of unhealthy behavior in their lives. For some it's drugs, for others sex addiction, for many it's power or just a need to feel bigger, better and more important than someone or something else. Almost everyone has real problems, and if the worst a person is doing is nostalgically remembering good times in their past and allowing themselves to feel the pain it causes, that's coping...not unhealthy at all. To bottle it, now that's unhealthy
