Brutus, Axes are better to the warrior. In the arms tree, there's a talent called "Polaxe Specialization". After you've used five points on it, it increases your crit chance by 5% with Axes and Polearms.

Swords can proc an extra hit, which also has a chance to hit and does way more burst damage. Maces stun and all the 2200+ warriors are either mace or sword, mostly mace. Axe sucks because it can't burst like the sword or stun.
