This is the OVA made for the game Chrono Trigger.
To answer some questions: Akira Toriyama (The guy that made Dragon Ball) worked on this. This video has, as far as I know, has only Japanese voicework. There is no sequil to this, it is an OVA; Original Video Animation.

Why don't you pull the stick out of your ass and try to relax? Not everything has to be "canonical", sometimes is just about having fun. Try to enjoy it for what it is, a funny promotional cartoon of a popular videogame

Did I say everything has to be canonical? This is an incredibly important game in the history of console RPGs, not least because it made you care about the characters and the plight of their world. And for someone to waltz in and cack-handedly create something of so little worth is almost insulting. And there's nothing "fun" about it either. So on top of everything I already said, it's intensely irritating as well.

The blueberry guy is a Nu. The midget bear is a Poyozo. The motorcycle guy is Johnny from 2300 AD. The robot is Gato. You know, it really pays to play the original game before watching its bonus material.

It's about 3 teenagers (Crono, Lucca, and Marle) who inadvertently find a method of time travel and, in the year 2300 AD, they find a video recording of the apocalyptic event that led to the ruination of the world 300 years prior. They then set out to find out about the destructor and to save the world. Is it good? It's only on everyone's Top SNES Games of All Time list, and it's hit the Top 10 in numerous Best Games of All Time lists. The Nu and Poyozo are just creatures in the game.

if you havent played the game i highly suggest you do. You can most definetly find a SNES emulator and a ROM of this game somewhere on the internet... it isnt protected by IDSA/ESA to the best of my knowledge

Chrono Trigger - SNES 1995 Radical Dreamers - Satellaview + SNES 1996 Chrono Cross - PSX 1999 this game is a classic but seriously, not one of the best games in history. and I'm being honest, not some retard who wants to disagree with everyone else for the sake of it. there are perfectly better titles, but no one seems to acknowledge that- they're too busy fawning over Squaresoft and Final Fantasy like rabid fanboys and it's very hard to stomach it. :/ bleh. either way, nice vid

just because the vast majority enjoys it simply implies how easy it is for Squaresoft to shove the simple age-old game fodder in every title they produce. the vast majority ALWAYS enjoys a Square* title with an RPG element of some sort similar to FF or CT. another thing to point out is how discernable one's likes are from another- it's pretty much easy to make one person like something by forcing it down their throat. and that bad taste spreads and continues on like wildfire.
