Oh, I know nothing about Harman-Ising or Lantz or any of these guys hahaha! I just post what I like! There are viewers here who know everything about them and these cartoons who leave comments with info though.
The racial stuff was just part of the times, unfortunate as that was. These have to be viewed in that context. If viewed through the boring politically correctness of today all the fun and humor and amazement at the animation and enjoyment of the music is lost. Pity for those people :)

All these comments are showing up out of order for some stupid YT reason so I don't know what we were talking about. The ones I woke up to when I left the TV on overnight? Oh no idea, I was trying to fall back asleep but couldn't so I had to listen to them for awhile because I was too lazy to hit the remote and turn the TV off.
I finally got sick enough of whatever it was to take a look and then turn off the TV. I think maybe something with strawberries? It was regular TV. I don't have cable.

Ack! See that's what I mean. They show stuff like that but this old beautiful stuff they rip to shreds. I had a fit over some commercial for McDonald's about 2 years ago that totally dissed men so I wrote to them and they actually wrote back. Some woman exec who told me they thought it was 'cute' too. I told her why it wasn't and they actually pulled it off the air. I was shocked that they did. People's ideas of what is cute these days is really off base. And I'm not at all politically correct!

Oh I was thinking of you. I got in all 9 of the Dogville Barkies that were made in the '20s and '30s and I thought of how hysterical I think they are. I can't post them on here though. But they are of real dogs dressed up in clothes and they are short films that were take offs on other films. Like Dogway Melody was a take off on Broadway Melody, etc. And then I remembered what you said about the cartoon with the animals at a tea party or something.

Ihave to say,the censorship is sloppy on boomarang. I saw a diffrent cartoon,(lucky ducky) And as they were cuting part,the projecter shakes and goes offscreen and reveales a pitch black room!
