This is the French trailer for Miyazaki Hayao's classic "Nausica
ä of the Valley of the Wind". The movie was released at the movies in France and Switzerland (yay ! ^^) on 23rd August 2006. I don't know about Belgium, though, since it's partly French-speaking... The trailer is good and modest. Here's a translation of the captions you read : 1) Pour la premiè

Frech people know what art is. I saw trailer of spirited away, French and disney version. Disney totally ruind it, making it look like another crappy disney movie. And French version..it was amazin trailer! You always know what art is..maybe understanding Miyazaki more then Japanese.

The thing about the French is that they know how to enjoy Cinema as a form of art, and not only just as plain entertainment. And of course, the Japanese trailers are also very good (but that's normal, though...! ^^)

And also, the French did mention that Spirited Away won the Golden Bear (Top Prize) and the Berlin Film Festival, which is an Award that has so much more value than a crappy Oscar (which is worth nothing, to my opinion)

the only complaints is that the cuts in the trailer follows the timeline of the movie and thus, is a bit of a spoiler to the plot... but thanx for uploading this!! do i understand it right that this movie had came out in french cinemas after spirited away? if so, that's absolutely brilliant!! this is THE movie you should watch in a large sceen and good sound ;-)

Yep ! almost all the Ghibli movies have been released in France (only Totoro and Porco Rosso were released directly on DVD). Tales of Earthsea is coming out on 4th April 2007, and the only ones not yet released are Only Yesterday and Mimi wo Sumaseba.

I see. I heard speaking of directors that Tim Burton usually doesn't make sequals. I wished that he made a T.N.B.C.(The Nightmare Before Christmas of course.) sequal. Then again it would probably not be as good as the original cult following classic true gem of a film itself.

No it was made by Hiroyuki Morita, Myazaki's colleague(the same who made "My neighborgs the Yamada") It's like "Grave of the fireflies" a lot of people think that it was made by Myazaki but it is Isao Takahata.

if you like the story of this movie, i would definitely recommend you to read the complete comic books. miyazaki is the author is the comic books. The story of the comic books is much richer and you will see how the story ends after this movie.
