Its true there is a lot of mass media garbage. But just because that's true, doesn't mean there is an elaborate conspiracy. It is natrual to seek pleasure. And when given more freedom, naturally a person will seek more pleasure. Now in a free market, what is going to make money? Things that give you pleasure. It seems like a side effect of freedom. I'm open to other theories, but I need more proof.

Cnn, Fox, and abc ALL use elaborate preceptional framing techniques to direct the viewers mind into a certain direction.
They use sound and visual effects such as flashes and moving forms that are designed to alter your state of conciousness.
What you say about seeking pleasure is true but where these devices can be most observed are in News and so called investigative reporting.
Pick any pre-world war II book on propaganda and you will see how far along we've come.

ofcourse America Gov (and even most world leaders) want to keep the people stupid. why the hell do you think they make it illegal to smoke pot and take natural drugs like shrooms, lsd, dmt when pills like vicodine, morphine, and speed in pill for all legal. they want to keep us dumb and scared.
