Hitler wasn't a communist, he hated communists probably more vociferously than you, since he went out of his way to kill as many as he could. Goodman's show generally discusses social justice and improving the voice of the people. What I assume you object to about communism is that it denies freedom to its citizens. There is nothing Goodman ever does that can be described as promoting state control of citizens or the denial of individual freedom.

While I suspect Mumia probably is guilty of the crime he was charged with, based on the little I know of the evidence, his case is clearly an example of a denial of a fair trial to get a predetermined outcome based not on evidence but on ideology. As a result, support for Mumia stems from a desire to see social justice. It isn't the crime, its the trial thats important. Its the principle, like to support free speech, we must allow holocaust deniers and nazis to speak.

ownership is counterproductive. I do worry about media consolidation but not so far as to impose the Fairness Doctrine, which is a crock of shit or you would see evangelicals jumping up and down to hijack it like they want to do with the internet "neutrality" act. Governments are less trustworthy than business, at least shareholders can invest badly or declare bankruptcy. Political figures have a high incumbent reelection rate and usually don't reverse decisions that help them stay in office.
