my mother worked at the Lincoln theatre, England where all the gigs were in the 60s I would get free tickets,, spoilt eh. Great days Kinks Bobby Vee, Stones .. In Nov63,, I had just turned 11 The Beatles came .Couldnt hear a thing coz of the screaming girls .My mother said later there were puddles where the girls had peed themselves , good days better music than the shite about now

this was one of the few tv appearances where
they "mimed" (term epstein used) to the music.
epstein was worried about how they would sound
with live music, obviously because of the screaming fans.
but it wasn't to the actual album track.
it was a track especially recorded for this
tv appearance.

To OP: Oh pah-leeease. The 60's were dominated just as much by sex and violence as in 2008, if not more. As princesst said, things have always been the same. You think these girls were screaming their heads off just because they liked the music? See: sex appeal. Don't let it pass your memory so quick that The Beatles took LSD -- How does that fit into your memory of this righteous time? On a side note, I love their music. Just don't act like everything was peachy in the 50s-60s. It wasn't.

The Beatles yes took drugs and those girls scream out of emotion seeing their idols,but do u think the crime rate in the 60s can be compared to today's?...I think not.
And believe that The beatles are still No.1 today in 2008 not because of sex,drugs and the girls' wrongfully interpreted frenzy screams by you,they are still around because of their mastery genious and kick ass music and all the happiness they brought to millions of teens in the world. Period.
