According to some forums, it's not a good idea to change the speaker. A modelised amp needs a neutral speaker. If you install a colored one, some voices will be better but some very bad.

Yeah i've tried two speakers on it now, my brothers celestion blue and a ragin cajun i bought. I found with the Blue the clean channels were amazing, but the overdrive just lost its grunge and became tinney. The Ragin cajun is pretty decent all around, keeps the overdrive characteristics and plays the clean channels fairly nice. I think I might go for a G-10 or maybe a vintage10. I have a feeling it would make this amp perfect for practice for me. it already is pretty awesome though.

Hey thx for the reply. So i got a ragin cajun speaker and it is alright, better than the stock anyways.. but I am really wondering how that G-10 is working out for you? does it have a nice warm clean sound? and how about the overdrive voicings, are they still awesome or what?

I like the Greenback very much! It definitely has more punch than the stocker speaker. My cover band commented on it after rehearsal just the other day. They said that the amp sounded real "vintage". continued...

...That is perfect for classic rock sounds and tones. I mainly use the clean, blackface and tweed voicings. I think the overdriven voicings sound just as good (if not better). However, I don't use them as much. I play some leads and that is the only time I use the overdriven voicings. I can't really say wether it is the speaker or the tubes. Maybe both? Hope this helps!

This amp needs a specific footswitch! I really need the footswitch! It would help tremendously! I ordered one from my local Guitar $h!tter, and it has been over a month that I am still waiting for it! Does anyone know where I can get one? Need it bad before the next gig!!!

Pod is not a pedal (my opinion). It's an Amp simulator with built in effects. Of course it will work with this amp but use the channel 1 only. Else, you will add a modelised sound on a modelised amp... Too much modelisation for me, the sound will be very compressed.

Yes, use only chanel one. It's a standard Fender clean chanel, very dynamic. However, if you plan to use your Pod everyime, you should try the Blues Junior.
