she sang with a what they call as a "bajaari" voice in tamil.. i hate that kind of voice... dont want durga to degenerate herself in the order of bajaari tamil singers like anuradha sriram, mahathi, that manmatha rasa singer etc.

hahaha, dude you really dont know what you are talking about ? do you ? anuradha sriram, mahathi and malathi(manmatha rasa singer) are all good singers, they just dont sing their bajaari songs, you should listen to all their songs before you say bajaari. we should appreciate the modulations durga did in this song, it was great. Its not so easy to get these modulations and sing flawless. cheers durga !

the famous hit songs they sang are all bajaari songs... tamil people seem to take a liking to any innuendo of a wild woman ... durga is way above all that nonsense and should not let herself be tarnished with rowdy bajari nonsense.. and just because I seem to be diametrically opp to your view does not mean I dont know what I am talking about...

I do agree durga is a very good singer, should i add versatile also ? versatality is a great trait in any upcoming singer. well we disagree on that point. you generalising "tamil people" shows what kind of a person you are and i stand on my point, you dont know what you are talking about :) ! rest my case !

I am part tamilian myself, born and raised in TN and I very well know where their sensibilities stand today when compared to the days of balu mahendra, mahendran, divine ilaiyaraaja, and erstwhile arr music... taking a shot at appalling and declining taste of majority audience is not tantamount to generalization... in any theory on general public there are always exceptions... that does not mean the core criticism becomes invalid.
