Chris is awesome, but I don't agree with what he's saying. Soundgarden should come back just on the principle that they know how to rock and actually make people interested in music again.

Soundgarden were awesome in every sense of the word. But they should never, EVER reform. Even for one gig. It would ruin it. As Cornell himself says, there's no reason for it. I mean look at Smashing Pumpkins and RATM, they're pathetic, playing for the money. Cornell's past his sell by date anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big rage fan, But I still think the reunion is for money. They've said that they have no intention of recording new material. So why tour if not for the money? How much do you think they've made from this reunion so far? They're in danger of turning into the Sex Pistols if you ask me. Can't say that I'm a fan of Audioslave though. I always thought that they were very average considering the people that were involved.

I played in a band, some of the times we had our differences, We all went on to do other projects and were busy, some of us in other bands, working, and or grown up responsibilities;like children.We were still friends and saw eachother time to time.I one day found myself jammin' in my garage, when my former bandmate came over after practice. He pulled out his guitar and started jammin' with me. We called up the rest of the guys and been together ever since after three years out...tbc

there is no bad energy like there was before, these 16 yr old boys with teenage angst now with a greater portrayal of life, love, music.
alot of are old songs are redone , new songs are great, its kinda like not knowin what you have til its gone.I really believe thats what Rage has now, They miss that old energy, not that makin a little money in the process doesn't hurt....just four child hood friends lovin the music they play...its great

I agree with your views on Audioslave. I enjoyed their stuff well enough, but Tom Merillo's guitar style is not suited for the style of music Chris Cornell sings. I like Tom's stuff, but not so much in that band. I found most of the solo's tedious and just in the way of the music.

I'm such a massive Chris Cornell fan (obviously because of Soundgarden) that I think I might go insane waiting for his next album. I once sat across from him on a ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle (WA), it was the best day ever, and he's a very approachable person. Though, I was a bit too....freaked out to make small talked and was afraid I was coming off as a fawning dolt with how much I was praising his singing.
